Child Safety Standards
Last updated 28 October 2026
The Fit Check has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to every account, post, comment and message on the app.
What is never allowed
- Any content that sexualises a child, including suggestive poses, captions or comments about a child's body.
- Child sexual abuse material of any kind, including AI-generated or edited images.
- Grooming, or trying to contact a child for sexual purposes.
- Sharing a child's photo without being their parent or guardian, or sharing a child's personal details such as their school or address.
Kids fits
Outfit posts in the Kids category may only be posted by the child's parent or guardian. Children must be fully clothed and shown in everyday, age-appropriate settings. The Fit Check is not for users under 13.
How we enforce this
- Anyone can report a post, comment or account from inside the app (⋯ → Report), and block any user.
- Reports involving children are reviewed first, within 24 hours.
- Violating content is removed and the account is permanently banned.
- Confirmed CSAM is reported to the South African Police Service, as the Films and Publications Act requires, and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Evidence is preserved for law enforcement.
